Mark Global and Metatronics launch Internet of Things readiness scan
Eindhoven / Weert - January 13, 2016 - Metatronics, leading developer and manufacturer of intelligent industrial -and consumer electronics, launches in cooperation with Mark Global, a specialized business development consulting firm for knowledge intensive -and technology oriented companies, an IoT Readiness Scan.
Most people have now heard of the Internet of Things, abbreviated IoT. It provides companies an opportunity to create new services and products, to develop new business models, or for example, to improve their customer intimacy and experience. Typical questions that arise on the horizon; how to fit an Internet of Things proposition in my current business model? What does it take to successfully deploy an Internet of Things product or service?
In order to give companies insights on their readiness for IoT based activities, Metatronics and Mark Global launched an IoT readiness scan, which consists of a short, digital questionnaire. As a result, participants get a readiness score with a brief explanation. After one working day a detailed report will be send, indicating where one stands with IoT in terms of strategy, infrastructure, capabilities and business processes. It also includes recommendations for any appropriate follow-up that contribute to a successful IoT route.
Willem Hofland, sales director at Metatronics; “At Metatronics we work every day on new IoT concepts and it’s technical implementation. IoT is still in an early adopters phase and many companies are currently investigating the opportunities it offers, but materializing on an idea to a real application is often a bridge too far. The IoT readiness scan helps to get an indication of where you are as a company and provides recommendations based on your personal business situation.”
Ralph Hunnekens, business development consultant at Mark Global; “IoT and its development within a business begins with a business model and a good strategy. IoT initiatives should come from the business rather than from IT. We have helped numerous companies with their successful go-to-market of IoT product and services. The IoT readiness scan contributes to the awareness process and includes additional recommendations to further develop a company’s route for IoT.”
